The Wandering Village is a city building sim, set on the back of a giant wandering creature. As you play, you can watch as the giant creature walks through the landscape, the backdrop ever changing. Nearly a year after its 2025 release, The Wandering Village is receiving a new DLC, and it’s full of goodies.
Announced in the Wholesome Direct, The Last Leviathan DLC will introduce a whole new creature, a massive amphibian creature that comes with it’s own new set of buildings, resources, a unique tech tree and hours of new content. Launching alongside the DLC is a big free update which will deepen the interaction with both Onbu (the original creature) and the new creature, introducing temperature and mood mechanics, cosmetic items, and the new Arctic Ocean biome.
I personally think the new creature is kinda cute, and I can’t wait to build a village on his back. While there’s no date for the DLC yet, playtests will be available on Steam.
