We are still reeling over the latest royal wedding! Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillips, married NHS nurse Harriet Sperling at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester, close to where Harriet grew up.

The Princess of Wales chose to wear a stunning outfit for the nuptials and was widely considered the best-dressed guest.

The mother-of-three donned a magnificent tweed outfit by one of her favourite designers, Roland Mouret. Designed in a nude colourway, the dress featured a fringe-trimmed collar, faux button-fastening, a gentle V-neckline, padded shoulders, and also boasted inverted pleats through the skirt. She topped her sumptuous brunette tresses with a Jane Taylor boater hat, which was trimmed with a terracotta ribbon.

The royal also chose to wear an exquisite bracelet which once belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. Paying homage to King Charles’ former wife, Kate decided to opt for Diana’s three-strand pearl bracelet.

The bracelet itself is a Nigel Milne creation, and was designed as part of a charity collection which helped raise funds for a women’s health charity once called Birthright, which Diana was a patron of.

Diana wore it on many occasions, most notably alongside her Catherine Walker ‘Elvis’ dress that she famously donned in 1989. The iconic dress is instantly recognisable due to the turned-up collar and plethora of delicate pearls that adorned the fabric, and it went perfectly with her pearl bracelet.

Kate also wore her most famous piece of jewellery at the wedding – her engagement ring, which also belonged to Diana. The royal does take it off from time to time due to various work commitments; she removed it earlier this year when at a hospital for hygiene reasons.

Kate was first given the precious piece of jewellery back in 2010, when William popped the question on a private holiday in Kenya. The ring holds huge sentimental value. Diana had picked out the ring from Garrard ahead of her marriage to the now-King Charles III in 1981, reportedly because it reminded her of her own mother’s engagement ring.
