Princess Anne revived a vintage accessory for her son Peter Phillips’s wedding on June 6. Phillips tied the knot with nurse Harriet Sperling in an intimate ceremony at All Saints’ Church in Kemble, England.
Anne opted for a yellow blazer and a pleated midiskirt, accessorizing with a knit shawl. Her hat—also a buttery hue—dates back to 1981, when she wore it for her daughter Zara’s christening. The princess, who is the only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, welcomed two children with her ex-husband, equestrian Mark Phillips. They were married from 1973 to 1992.

As for the rest of her look, Anne sported black gloves, block heels, and pearl earrings, as well as a small leather handbag. Her hair was styled in her usual updo, while a poppy-red lip complemented the floral pattern on her skirt.
Several members of the royal family were also in attendance at Peter’s wedding, including King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.

The bride wore a custom lace gown by Emilia Wickstead, pairing it with a Pragnell family tiara—notably, the same jeweler designed Elizabeth’s engagement ring.
In a description of the gown shared with InStyle, the couple’s spokesperson described Sperling’s wedding dress as “a statuesque column gown” with a dramatic 10-foot train, crafted from Italian crêpe and internally structured with French lace.

The gown, with a low back and a square neckline, included a removable sheer lace bodice with a high neckline and transparent sleeves. The lace on the gown—sourced from Sophie Hallette’s French archives—dates back to the early 1900s and features romantic floral motifs and intricate detailing.
“We aligned on something authentic, traditional, and modern,” Wickstead told British Vogue.
