This morning, Drake was seen arriving at a private airport in full superstar fashion before apparently heading to Montreal for one of the biggest weekends in sports and celebrity culture: the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix.

Videos quickly began circulating online showing the Canadian rapper stepping out of a luxury vehicle and calmly walking across the runway before boarding his enormous private aircraft known worldwide as “Air Drake.”

The impressive details behind Drake’s massive plane

The giant Boeing 767 is impossible to ignore. One of the engines prominently features the words “Air Drake,” while the exterior is covered in a custom cloud-themed design alongside the famous OVO owl logo. The aircraft was designed in collaboration with the late Virgil Abloh and has become one of the most recognizable private jets on the planet.

This is far from an ordinary private jet. “Air Drake” is reportedly valued at around $185 million and was unveiled by Drake in 2019 through a partnership with Canadian cargo airline Cargojet. At the time, Drake proudly emphasized that the aircraft was not rented or shared, famously saying: “No rental, no timeshare, no co-owners.”

Inside, the plane reportedly features luxury suites, private lounges, entertainment spaces, velvet couches, gold accents, and room for around 30 passengers, essentially turning it into a flying luxury mansion.

Drake’s timing also immediately sparked speculation online because the Canadian Grand Prix weekend in Montreal has become one of the most celebrity-packed events in North America every year. Formula 1 weekends attract musicians, athletes, actors, influencers, billionaires, and global stars from all over the world, and Drake has always maintained strong ties both to the city of Montreal and elite sports culture.

Fans online quickly connected the dots after watching the videos this morning, assuming the rapper is likely heading toward the Grand Prix festivities where major celebrities are expected throughout the weekend.
