Gold has for the first time overtaken silver on the Ukrainian jewelry market in the period from 2020 to 2025. 34.7 million jewelry items with a total weight of 80.6 tons have passed state hallmarking, reports UNN citing Opendatabot.

1.1 million pieces of jewelry received state confirmation in the first quarter of 2026.

At the same time, 58% of all jewelry that has passed state hallmarking since 2020 is silver – 20.8 million items. Another 15 million items were gold.
At the same time, there were only 7.2 thousand platinum jewelry. During this time, only one palladium item passed control – this happened in 2025.

On average, 16% of all items that have passed state hallmarking over the past six years are imported. This year, 14% of jewelry that received a state hallmark were not made in Ukraine
