The Italian shipyard and brand of Palumbo Superyachts, ISA Yachts, has unveiled the second superyacht design in its newly launched dedicated design platform, known as the ISA Large Yacht Collection.
The platform was revealed to the industry last month alongside the first design, the 82-metre Amarcord 82, developed throughout by Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard. Now, the shipyard has lifted the lid on the second superyacht in the platform: the 86-metre Amarcord 86, also penned by the Italian designers.

The new (and larger) offering is said to “expand the narrative” of the Large Yacht Collection, with the design centred on the onboard experience rather than simply an increase in LOA. As such, each deck on board has its own “identity”, designed to move with the owner and guests throughout the day, from privacy to conviviality and wellbeing.
In a similar fashion to the 82-metre design, the Amarcord 86 is defined by a slender, proportioned silhouette decorated with expansive glazed surfaces, multiple hull openings and a visual continuity between decks.
Beginning at the stern, a generous fixed swim platform welcomes guests on board, offering direct access to the beach club, which itself features twin fold-down balconies and an opening hatch to expand the area over the water. Inside, there is a massage room and sea-view gym, both directly connected to the beach club via a glazed walkway running through the engine room.
Above, a panoramic, glass-bottomed pool is the main focal point of the main deck aft, which both feeds light into the beach club below and offers a relaxing, convivial area surrounded by lounge and social areas.

The main saloon is a reflection of the yacht’s exterior decks, penned as a fluid and versatile living area with generous volumes and a layout designed for extended time on board. A dramatic circular staircase is arranged around a glass lift, which serves all decks – one of the recurring architectural features of the entire platform, according to the yard.
The upper deck is defined by a more intimate and secluded approach, dedicated entirely to the owner, including a suite spanning more than 100 square metres. Here, an outdoor living area hosts a central pool flanked by two lounge areas, while further towards the stern is a vast, open aft deck for use as either a private terrace, a location for outdoor events or a touch-and-go helicopter pad.
The bridge deck features additional dining space with a large outdoor lounge and fire pit, curated for evening and sunset hours. Crowning the yacht, the sundeck is complete with a bar, teppanyaki grill and a forward-facing pool with sunpads.
Guest accommodation is arranged across a five-cabin layout, including a VIP suite on the main deck and a twin cabin on the lower deck. Below deck, the crew area comprises 11 cabins for up to 21 crew, in addition to a double cabin on the bridge deck for the captain.
According to BOATPro, ISA Yachts has 14 superyachts currently on order or under development, including the first unit from its 38.8-metre Viper 130 model, Fast Naan, which was launched earlier this week.
