The annual firefighters’ charity car wash is now under way at Bolton Central Fire Station on Moor Lane, just outside the town centre.
Local firefighters will be rolling up their sleeves throughout the day to raise money for a good cause, with motorists invited to get their cars cleaned in return for a donation.
As well as leaving with a sparkling vehicle, visitors will have the chance to meet members of their local fire crew and learn more about their work in the community.
The charity car wash runs until 4pm, with all proceeds going to The Fire Fighters Charity, which supports serving and retired firefighters and their families.
Bolton Central Fire Station will also be holding a family fun open day on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Fire Fighters Charity was founded in the aftermath of the Second World War, when 1,027 firefighters lost their lives while serving during the conflict.
