Lang shared a selfie of herself along with a video of her enjoying the concert on Instagram.

Her 60k followers were quick to respond, and some were not partaking in her euphoria. “Especially Taylor Swift, who takes out her private jet for every fart. Somehow that’s not what I expect from a political person with the goal of saving the climate,” commented one user. After openly criticizing climate polluters, Lang chose to have a ball at The Era’s Tour, which goes against everything she stands for. In 2022 alone, the “Lover” singer topped the British sustainability marketing firm Yard’s list of the “worst private jet CO2 emissions offenders.”

The 34-year-old superstar took a whopping 170 flights, generating 8,293.54 tons of greenhouse gas emissions—1,184.8 times more than the average person. In 2023, climate activists blasted the leggy musician for the hefty 178,000-mile flight log of her private jets, generating 1,200 tons of CO2, per Berliner Zeitung. Most of this carbon footprint was due to her tour and traveling from different corners of the world to see her beau, Travis Kelce. A behavior of this sort will surely be rebuked by a person like Ricarda Lang, but perhaps that altercation can be saved for some other day or tweet.
