Interesting design!
The main highlight of Vayve Eva is that it gets a solar panel on its roof, which contributes to the vehicle’s range. Design-wise, Vayve Eva is quite simple and it has a narrow two-door car design. The two colours showcased are Pink and Blue, lending a chic appeal. There’s body cladding finished in gloss Black to reduce visual bulk.
LED DRLs are connected and remind me of an MG Windsor. Wheels get a cover with contrasting body colour element that looks stylish and modern. Headlights are below DRLs and charging port is on the right quarter panel. Interior layout is quite unusual for a car as Vayve Eva has a back-to-back seating style.
Premium interiors
Company promises enough space for 2 adults and a child and is intended as a second or third vehicle to navigate the city traffic. There’s manual AC and an infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a panoramic glass roof along with a fully digital TFT instrument screen with a 2-spoke steering wheel and steering-mounted controls.
With the largest 18 kWh battery pack, Vayve Eva promises up to 250 km range on a single charge. The solar panel on this vehicle is said to contribute a 3,000 km range per annum. Where performance is concerned, Vayve Mobility promises 0-40 km/h in 5 seconds. Nothing spectacular, but more than sufficient for intended use cases.
One look at the Wayve Eva is enough to realise that it bears a purposeful design. It has been visualised as India’s premium compact 2-seater car that is a solution for growing congestion in major cities like Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and more. This is a new formula for electric cars and reception for which, is yet to be seen.
