Ruby Brownless has revealed her plans to marry her fiancé Josh Wallis in the coming months.

The daughter of AFL great Billy Brownless told the Herald Sun on Tuesday that the couple will tie the knot in Queensland in March.

‘Location was the number one thing for us,’ she explained.

Ruby also revealed she will be celebrating her hen’s party with friends and family in Sydney next weekend.

‘It’s all a surprise, which will be fun so the countdown is officially on,’ she said.

Josh proposed to Ruby over Christmas in 2022, and the couple shared the exciting news to social media at the time.

They had spent Christmas together at Queensland’s scenic Hayman Island, and Ruby later shared a gallery of loved-up holiday snaps to Instagram.

‘This past week has been an actual dream,’ she wrote next to the photos.

Ruby and Josh are both from football families: Josh is the brother of former Western Bulldogs star Mitch Wallis, and their father is former Bulldogs star Stephen Wallis.

Upon their engagement, the happy couple was immediately inundated with congratulations from their friends and family.

Ruby and Josh have been together since 2019.

It comes after Ruby’s father Billy and his girlfriend Crystle Fleur celebrated the start of 2025 as a couple.

The AFL great, 57, has been in a relationship with the businesswoman, who is the owner of a Geelong-based equestrian company called Erinvale Thoroughbreds, since last year.

On New Year’s Day, Crystle posted a heartwarming photo of the lovebirds cuddling up as they watched the New Year’s Eve fireworks together.

‘Bringing in the new year!’ the mother-of-five captioned her post.

Billy has been dating Crystle for the past five months.

They previously stepped out together in October last year at the Palladium at Crown to attend the Carji Greeves Medal to celebrate Geelong’s Best and Fairest.

Crystle also joined Billy at the September Club after the AFL Grand Final, where his ex-wife Nicky and her fiancé Garry Lyon were also in attendance.

Billy last stepped out with a female companion named Lizzie at the Australian Open in January last year.

He also appeared to have paid tribute to the brunette with a cartoon drawing on a sign at his new car wash business in Geelong.

The image features a woman – who has a resemblance to Lizzie – dressed in her trademark headband, plus a white crop top and tiny denim shorts.

Prior to his appearance with Lizzie, the former footballer reportedly split from his girlfriend Justine after more than a year of dating. 

Meanwhile, Billy’s ex-wife Nicky became engaged to fellow AFL star Garry in 2023.

The news came seven years after their relationship began in scandalous circumstances, when Garry, 57, went public with their romance, blindsiding Brownless.

He started seeing Billy’s wife of 18 years just 12 months after they separated.

After years of intense scrutiny, Garry got down on one knee and proposed to Nicky during a recent trip to the Mornington Peninsula and presented her with a giant diamond ring.

Billy shares four children with Nicky, daughters Lucy and Ruby and sons Oscar and Max.
