Jacqueline Jossa has been pictured without her wedding ring after splitting from husband Dan Osborne, with a source claiming to know the real reason for the break-up
EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa has been seen without her wedding ring following her separation from husband Dan Osborne. It was revealed at the weekend that the couple has parted ways after eight years of marriage and in new snaps, the actress can be seen looking carefree as she exits an Essex gym, without her ring.
A joint statement was released announcing the split which read: “Jacqueline and Dan are handling things privately, choosing to keep their lives and relationship out of the public eye.”
They requested respect and privacy during this time, emphasising that their two children remain their utmost priority and stressed that they have the best interests of each other and their children at heart, before adding there would be no further comment.
A source has now alleged to know the real reason behind Jacqueline and Dan’s decision to separate. “Dan bought a house last year without telling Jacqueline until the final stages,” an insider revealed to Mail Online.
He initiated proceedings under the belief that their romance was on the brink of collapse. With Jacqueline owning their matrimonial residence, he felt compelled to secure his future interests.
The move ignited a fierce argument, further undermining the already delicate trust between them. Reports suggest that Dan has left the family home.
Jacqueline was spotted beaming in today’s pictures, obtained by the Mirror. Representatives for both Dan and Jacqueline have been approached for comment.
The couple has repeatedly found themselves the subject of rumours regarding their relationship’s stability but maintained a united front, refuting any claims of separation.
A source disclosed recently: “Jacqueline and Dan are on a break and are spending time apart from each other. It’s not been easy for them lately and they have made this difficult decision.”
Since starting their relationship back in 2013 and having two children together, Jacqueline and Dan’s romance has been in the public eye after the pair were embroiled in infidelity rumours in 2018 when Dan was spotted with Gabby Allen aboard a yacht; both parties denied any romantic involvement.
Gabby addressed the past speculations in an interview following her appearance on Love Island All Stars earlier this year, telling the Mirror: “I feel like I’m so far removed from that situation now. It’s mad that people would, like, even bring it up.”
She clarified her relationship with former TOWIE star Dan, stating: “I mean me and Dan were just mates but we weren’t that good mates for it to warrant continuing a friendship … It’s like that was a long time ago and we knew each other for a very short amount and that was it.”
After her win on I’m A Celebrity in 2019, Jacqueline expressed her intention to “restart” their relationship. She confessed that she had put her then-husband through “two years of hell” due to the allegations.
She explained: “It made me think of stuff in there. I had no choice – no phone or contact. Nothing but time. To be honest I wanted to hit a restart button. It’s been two years of me basically giving him hell. It’s not like he got away lightly. He knows he’s done wrong. There’s some stuff that’s not true that I can’t talk about as it’s being done with legal. We’re fine”.
Following this interview, Dan issued a statement acknowledging that some of the allegations were “true” while others were “very untrue”.
His statement read: “So after weeks, months, years of constant articles and rumours, some true, some very untrue. I want to publicly say, I know I have made mistakes, we all do as humans, but I’ve made some that have almost cost me my family. I have seriously learnt from these massively.
“I want to publicly apologise to my beautiful wife and my family for the mistakes I’ve made. I am the luckiest man in the world to have what I have with Jacqueline and my three incredible children and I will spend the rest of my life being the best husband and dad that I can be.
“Jac, myself and our families are excited for the future, one filled with love and happiness together. We truly appreciate everyone that has supported us as a couple, we are ending this year stronger than ever.”
Jacqueline has been candid about the impact of motherhood on her relationship, admitting it has been “tested”. She shared their approach to parenting: “We don’t really have rules. Our kids are good and we’re not too strict on them but they just know when they’re pushing their luck.
“I give them a look! At the moment, there’s been problems because Mia is back chatting and she and Ella are having rows and physical fights. The little one is beating up the bigger one”.
Only a few months ago, the pair found themselves caught up in separation rumours, which began circulating when their residence went up for sale.
An insider said at the time: “Jacqueline and Dan are both shocked, hurt and upset about the rumours of a split. Yes, it’s true they are selling their house, but that doesn’t mean they’re not together. They’re busy juggling day-to-day family and work life like most parents across the country.
“This week alone they’ve been inundated with questions about the state of their marriage. People are obviously talking about the property changes going on in their lives, but they’re still very much together.”
