Two rats found in pet carrier in Paisley prompting appeal

The pair were discovered on George Street in Paisley on March 29.

They are now in the care of the Scottish SPCA’s (SSPCA) Glasgow centre. The animal welfare charity is urging the rats’ owner to come forward.

Meanwhile, a dog was found on Auchinraich Avenue in Hamilton on March 28. He is said to be microchipped, but the SSPCA has been unable to contact his owners.

The pet is now in the care of the charity’s Lanarkshire centre.

Elsewhere, a cat, believed to be a stray for a while, was discovered on Poplar Street in Airdrie on March 29.

He is currently at the SSPCA’s Glasgow centre receiving vet treatment. He is not microchipped.

A second dog was found on Clarkwell Road in the Hillhouse area of Hamilton on March 28. He is microchipped, but the SSPCA has not been able to contact his owners.

He is currently in the care of the charity’s Lanarkshire centre.

The SSPCA noted that, sadly, a black cat was found in a ‘poor condition’ in the Drumchapel area of Glasgow.

He was brought to the charity’s Glasgow centre. Anyone who thinks that this may be their cat is asked to call 03000 999 999.
