An executive jet facility is celebrating after earning international recognition for its excellence.
Newcastle Airport’s Samson Executive Jet Centre, which oversees private aircraft operations at the airport, has made history after becoming the first international winner of the ‘Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Member of the Year’ award at the 2024 Paragon Awards, in New Orleans, USA.
The accolade, which was awarded during the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers 2025 Conference, with winners chosen following positive customer feedback and votes from fellow FBO members and flight departments, highlights Samson’s operational excellence, world-class customer service and commitment to the highest safety standards.
Paula Ives, general manager of Samson Executive Jet Centre, said: “We are delighted to have made history by becoming the first international winner of this esteemed award.
“Our team takes great pride in providing a professional, personal and efficient service, giving our passengers the freedom to choose how, when and where they travel.

Samson has also recently earned the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) Stage 2 accreditation, further demonstrating its commitment to maintaining the highest standards in safety, efficiency and professionalism.
