A luxury yacht that has graced Victoria Pier for almost two months has left the isles.

The super yacht Arctic features a swimming pool and cinema among its highly opulent features, and can be chartered at a cool €590,000 per week.

She arrived at Lerwick Harbour on 12th February, having sailed up to the isles from Orkney as part of a Northern Isles tour.

Built in Germany in 1969 as a strong icebreaker tug and salvage vessel, she was later given a new lease of life when she was bought in the 1990s by Australian billionaire and media tycoon Kerry Packer.

She was converted into a super yacht, and now features luxury highlights like a beach club and library.

The yacht features seven opulent suites, with room for a dozen guests.

The vessel has been operating in the Norwegian fjords during winter, with later adventures planned to the South Pacific.

She is also equipped with a helipad, various tenders, jet skis, and specialised equipment for cold-water.

The vessel left Lerwick harbour this morning. It is not known where she is going next.
