Police have released images of a necklace, in the hope to identify the woman whose body was found
Police have released images of a piece of jewellery found on a woman who was discovered dead in a wooded area in Camborne in a bid to identify her.
At 7.45am on Sunday (May 3), police received reports that a body had been found in woodland in the Killivose area.
Since the discovery, detectives have been working to try and establish the woman’s identity and also the exact circumstances surrounding her death.
As part of the investigation, Devon and Cornwall Police has released images of the front and back of a necklace found on the woman in the hope that somebody may be able to recognise it and assist with the identification process.
The photograph appears to show a circular pendant, likely made of resin. One side of the necklace features holographic or metallic gold-coloured sticker, set against a dark, speckled baground. The other side shows a three-dimensional element embedded in a lighter, crystalline base.
The force said the death is being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious at this time.
Anybody able to assist is asked to contact police on 101 or via the force website quoting 50260111111.
