Emirates has revealed a striking new special livery on one of its Airbus A380 aircraft, featuring a massive United Arab Emirates flag stretching across the fuselage in a bold 3D design.
Applied to aircraft A6-EVG, the new livery expands on Emirates’ iconic tail design and was created as part of the airline’s “This Flag Will Always Fly” campaign. The initiative supports a nationwide call by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, encouraging citizens and residents to raise the UAE flag as a symbol of unity and resilience during recent regional challenges.
Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said the project reflects the Emirates’ pride in representing the UAE globally and honouring the country’s ambition and cohesion. He noted that every Emirates aircraft already carries the UAE flag on its tail, but this new livery raises that symbol “higher, prouder, and further than ever before.”
The specially painted A380 has already operated flights to New York City and Brisbane, with more destinations planned across the Emirates network. The airline also confirmed plans to apply the design to a Boeing 777 in the future.
The latest design continues Emirates’ tradition of commemorative liveries tied to major national milestones, including aircraft dedicated to Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Expo 2020 Dubai.
