Charles Leclerc has spent most of his adult life moving at extraordinary speed, yet the newest addition to his growing collection of luxury assets is designed for the exact opposite experience. The Ferrari star has taken delivery of a new Riva 102’ Corsaro Super, a sleek Italian superyacht reportedly valued at around $19 million that now joins the Monaco driver’s increasingly refined Mediterranean lifestyle.
The launch took place at Riva’s La Spezia shipyard in Italy, where Leclerc attended the ceremony alongside his wife Alexandra. The occasion carried the atmosphere of a private celebration rather than a corporate unveiling, with shipyard workers, executives, and invited guests gathered around one of the most recognizable young athletes in the world as the yacht touched water for the first time.
For Leclerc, the purchase is less about entering the world of yachting and more about deepening a relationship that already existed. The Ferrari driver previously owned a smaller Riva 82’ Diva, though the new 102-foot Corsaro Super represents a substantial leap into the upper tier of contemporary superyachts. In Monaco, where Formula 1 drivers measure luxury with a level of intensity usually reserved for lap times, the upgrade feels almost inevitable.
Designed by Officina Italiana Design, the yacht combines the sharp, athletic proportions associated with modern Riva models with the floating-villa atmosphere expected from a vessel in this category. Expansive glass surfaces flood the interiors with Mediterranean light, while the exterior profile avoids the bulky appearance that often affects yachts over 100 feet. The result is a vessel that looks fast even while standing still.
Leclerc reportedly played an active role in shaping the interiors, selecting custom details and premium furnishings throughout the yacht. Poliform furniture, Bang & Olufsen entertainment systems, and carefully curated neutral tones create an atmosphere that feels closer to a luxury penthouse than a conventional yacht cabin. One of the standout spaces is the owner’s suite, where polished Calacatta marble and bespoke finishes elevate the yacht into the realm of collectible design.
The social areas reveal how modern superyachts are increasingly being designed around hospitality rather than navigation. The flybridge includes a fully equipped outdoor galley with an oversized grill, induction cooking surfaces, refrigerators, and an ice maker, transforming the upper deck into an open-air restaurant above the sea. A 35-square-meter beach club extends the lifestyle focus further, offering direct access to the water alongside inflatable platforms designed for swimming and water toys.
Performance, however, remains part of the equation. Powered by MTU engines, the Riva can cruise comfortably at 24 knots and reach a top speed of 28 knots, numbers that place it firmly within the performance-oriented side of the luxury yacht segment. Advanced stabilization systems ensure the experience onboard remains composed even when the sea is not.
For Leclerc, whose public image has long balanced old-world Monaco elegance with the intensity of Formula 1 stardom, the new Riva feels perfectly aligned with the life he has built away from the racetrack. It is Italian, fast, highly engineered, visually restrained, and impossibly expensive without appearing desperate to prove it.
