Portugal – Airbus is seeking to recruit a permanent Head of Standardisation (HO Standardisation) for Sevenair Academy in Portugal, seeking an experienced flight instructor and post holder to serve as Airbus’s local representative ensuring compliance with contracts, regulatory requirements, and standardisation of cadet training and instructor competencies at the Portuguese Airbus Flight Academy (AFA) network school.

  • The role is based at Ponte de Sor airport in Portugal, where Sevenair operates as part of the Airbus Flight Academy network delivering ab initio cadet pilot training under Airbus’s structured airline-oriented training framework.
  • Key responsibilities are split across four areas:
    • supporting Airbus standardisation and maintaining core team standards at the local flight academy (40%)
    • participating in cadet training and screening (20%)
    • following up cadet and instructor files and administrative processes including license and exam registration with DGAC or ANAC (20%)
    • ensuring communication between the school and Airbus central functions in Toulouse (20%).
  • The standardisation role covers instructor standardisation for the local core team, application of Airbus-specific processes for A60.4 Group of Competences (AT, AG, AC, AV, AI, AM, AU), accompaniment of the standardiser process (ST, SE, SSE), screening and qualification upgrades, and participation in the creation and review of Airbus documents concerning the AFA network.
  • Candidates must have at least three years’ experience as an instructor and post holder at a school delivering professional pilot licences and associated ratings, comprehensive knowledge of EASA civil standardisation procedures, and must live near Ponte de Sor airport.
  • Desirable qualifications include Portuguese language proficiency, CBTA course development experience, and training or diplomas in audit and safety management.
