An award-winning youth theatre group is celebrating its 42nd year with a summer production of Disney’s musical, Beauty and the Beast.

The show by Young Generation in Falmouth is set to run from August 7 to August 10 at the Princess Pavilion.

The group has been an integral part of the community for decades.

Known for its spirited and dynamic performances, the group is geared up to perform the timeless story of Beauty and the Beast to life.

The enchanting tale filled with magic, romance, and the powerful narrative of love will unfold under a skilled all-female production team.

The cast comprises talented young performers aged between ten and 20 who have worked relentlessly to create the spectacle.

Tunes such as “Be Our Guest,” “Belle,” and the titular “Beauty and the Beast”, will accompany the performance.

The show’s director, Jade Stewart-Tribe, with Morwenna Bilham as Musical Director and Samantha Taylor as Choreographer, expressed their enthusiasm.

Ms Stewart-Tribe said: “We are incredibly excited to present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast to our community.

“Our young performers have poured their hearts into this production, and we can’t wait to share the magic of this beloved story with everyone.

“It’s a testament to their hard work and the incredible support from our community.”

Besides the performances, the production features costumes, elaborate sets, and animated effects.

Adding to the excitement, Young Generation is introducing their first-ever relaxed performance, a unique approach to make theatre more accessible.

This special show on August 10 at 2pm will see an inclusive staging with British Sign Language interpretation, softer sound effects, and relaxed theatre rules.

An exciting meet-and-greet is arranged for the same day after the matinee performance.

The audience will have the chance to meet and interact with characters, Belle, Beast, and Lumiere.
