Australian connectivity solutions provider Comsol has announced the acquisition of Sydney-based IT accessories and peripherals supplier Blupeak for an undisclosed fee.
Founded in 2018, Blupeak is a manufacturer of commercial and consumer electronic products including cables and adapters, network cables, as well as USB and charging products.
Comsol said the acquisition combines its channel network and market presence with Blupeak’s technical expertise and commercial focus.
This will facilitate greater innovation, enhanced product development and an expanded distribution network.
“Having worked for Comsol in my early career and extensively with Comsol in various capacities over the years, it feels like coming full circle to be rejoining this fantastic team at such a pivotal moment,” said Tom Anderson, director at Blupeak.
“Looking ahead, I am incredibly excited about the opportunities this new chapter presents. Joining forces with Comsol is not just a merger of two companies, but a fusion of shared visions and values.”
“It’s an opportunity to leverage our combined strengths, expertise and industry knowledge to develop and deliver world-class products and support to our customers.”
Founded in 1991, Sydney-based Comsol is an importer, manufacturer and distributor of connectivity solutions for the IT, audio-visual and mobile phone accessories industries.
The company said the Blupeak acquisition will provide customers with an enhanced range of high-quality products and solutions.
“Our commitment has always been to provide exceptional value and service to our customers. With this development, we are now in an even stronger position to enhance our product offerings and extend our reach,” said Teresa McMellon, general manager at Comsol.
“I am confident that together, we will set new benchmarks in the industry and continue to exceed the expectations of our customers. I look forward as we bring in the talented staff from Blupeak to deliver new and innovative solutions across our channel and retail markets.”
