My Bazaar colleague Brooke Bobb has been wearing a rugby shirt around and mixing it in such interesting ways that make it feel fresh. I was inspired, so I decided to go to the source, Polo Ralph Lauren, which I used to wear in the ’90s. I was elated when I found out that I could custom-create one.

You don’t buy a pair of Jacques Marie Mage glasses, you join the club (one that I’ve been a member of for more than 5 years). Ten years ago, Mr. Jerome Jacques Marie Mage started to design what in my mind are the most perfect, well-crafted, and covetable sunglasses that are just that—sunglasses, not logo-branded billboards. I love the rock & rollness of this pair of squared aviators. They would look good on oval faces like mine, or on an oblong shape, too.
I bought a similar Guanabana woven belt at Le Club 55 in St.Tropez last summer and have been obsessed with it ever since. It’s so good with jeans and khakis, but I also found it pairs well with tailored trousers. My friend on holiday also borrowed it to belt her slip dress, which was effortlessly chic.

I’ve been loving the return to thin-soled sneakers, especially these very soft leather Adidas Japan versions that feel more like ballet flats than chunky athletic shoes. The name of the color, “preloved brown,” indicates that romantic yet authentic feel. They’re also more versatile than their gym bunny cousins., as they can look dressier and more work-appropriate.
