John Lewis shoppers in five locations can enjoy the new services that are being launched today.
Mending, restoring, dry cleaning and alterations are among the options available for customers.
Garments, accessories and some homeware items will qualify for the repairs as part of a partnership with experts at Johnsons, a Timpson Group company.
Services will include fixing zips, adjusting the length of curtains, restoring wedding dresses and more.

The repair areas will accept items from any brand and will be trialed at the Oxford, Liverpool, Cheadle, Milton Keynes, and Welwyn branches.
This will gather data over 16 weeks to find out exactly what services customers are most interested in.
Not only will this help shoppers to hold onto their favourite items for longer, but repairing garments is a great step in reducing waste.
The retailer stated that adding just nine months to the life of a product can reduce its carbon, waste and water footprint by up to 30 per cent.

Customers can get various amendments in stores

The repairs will be part of a partnership with clothing repair and alterations experts SOJO and repairs will start from £5.
The retailer said: “Through a dedicated online hub, M&S customers will be able to select and book a range of bespoke repair services – from zip replacements to invisible knitwear mending – all through one simple online form.
“With repairs starting from just £5, M&S clothing can be sent, repaired by SOJOs in-house repair team and returned directly to the customer’s doorstep within seven to 10 days.”
