RiderTua.com – At the end of 2022, Suzuki globally launched the V-Strom 800. They are now bringing back this adventure style motorbike, but with additional accessories, namely the Suzuki V-Strom 800RE Tour. It will be more focused on touring use on smooth asphalt roads, compared to the DE model which is more off-road.
Differences in Engine Parts
In terms of internals, the engine is nothing different, it remains a 2-cylinder 776cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine with a power output of 83.1 hp at 8,500 rpm and 78 Nm of torque at 6,800 rpm connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. It looks the same as the standard model, the difference is in the ECU mapping which makes the RE model have a top speed of up to 130 km/h.
It features an up and down quickshifter, 3 driving modes, 3 level traction control, TFT color screen instrument panel and full LED lighting. Supported by Showa upside-down suspension with 220 mm of travel at the front and a fully-adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Touring Version
The V-Strom 800RE Tour is equipped with standard equipment such as 19 and 17 inch alloy wheels wrapped in tires for asphalt roads, 3 boxes, 2 each on the side (37 liters) and 1 at the back (38 liters). There are also adjustments in the placement of the footstep which is 14 mm further back and 7 mm higher, as well as the handlebar being 15 mm shorter, 13 mm lower and 23 mm further forward.
The color choices are still the same, with a total of 3 colors (Pearl Vigor Blue, Metallic Matt Steel Green and Glass Sparkle Black). The Tour version model which is marketed in England is sold for 11,199 pounds sterling or around Rp. 224.2 million, while the standard model itself is priced at 9,699 pounds sterling or the equivalent of Rp. 194.2 million. Overall, the Suzuki V-Strom 800RE Tour is very suitable for consumers who are looking for a motorbike to accompany them on long journeys.
