Pokemon will put its name to just about anything, and I don’t mean that in a bad way. Official Pokemon merch is almost always pretty high quality. What I mean is The Pokemon Company has paired up with some brands you really wouldn’t expect it to collaborate with. To my knowledge, it’s the only video game series that has its own line of Tiffany and Co. jewelry. It’s not the only series to have its own line of Razer products, but this week that collection grew a few items bigger thanks to Gengar.

Neither Razer nor Pokemon has officially announced the Gengar additions to the line of PC accessories. This update comes courtesy of PokeJungle, complete with high-quality images of the new Gengar items. Sadly, it seems the crossover has been kept under wraps in an official capacity for the time being because the products are exclusively available in China, but considering Gengar’s popularity, I’d assume they won’t remain region-locked forever.

The two items in the collection, and currently available in China, are a Gengar mouse with a matching mouse mat. Each of the items has the Ghost-type in the middle with a dark background dotted with Gengar and Pokeball silhouettes. A promotional image released by Razer, and shared by PokeJungle, features a desk with the new items and other Gengar merch around them, including a couple of Gengar statues. However, eagle-eyed fans may have spotted the Gengar headset hung on the monitor.

Razer’s China-Exclusive Gengar PC Accessories

Razer hasn’t drawn attention to the headset, nor is it available to buy, neither in China nor anywhere else. The headset is purple and black with Gengar’s signature quiff – and what I’ve always assumed are his ears but I’m now second-guessing myself – on top. The Gengar equivalent of cat ear headphones. PokeJungle has reached out to Razer to clarify if the headset is or ever will be a part of its Gengar collection. It would sell well and clearly it exists, so it would be strange if the headset never finds its way to Razer’s storefront.

This isn’t the first time Pokemon has teamed up with Razer. It isn’t even the first time it has sold official Gengar merch. Gengar was joined by Charizard, Sylveon, and Jigglypuff for a range of Pokemon-themed gaming mice.. However, that collection appears to be exclusive to China too and wasn’t released elsewhere. Hopefully that doesn’t happen with the new Gengar range, and that the headset is released too so we can rep everyone’s favorite Ghost-type cat ear-style.
