Pokemon TCG Pocket introduces new Chimchar-themed accessories with second part of Wonder Pick event

The second part of Pokemon TCG Pocket’s latest Wonder Pick event is underway
It introduces new Chimchar-themed accessories and a Poke Ball avatar icon
There are also missions to complete so you can snag all those new goodies

As has quickly become tradition, Pokemon TCG Pocket is now hosting the second part of its latest Wonder Pick event. Starting today and running until February 21st, it introduces new accessories and missions for us to collect and complete, respectively.

As you’ll know if you’ve participated in part one, it’s a great Wonder Pick event if you are a Chimchar fan. I personally don’t mind the little guy, but it’s not breaking into my top 100 Pokemon anytime soon. My thoughts aside, you can now snag yourself a Chimchar Pokemon coin, card sleeve and playmat, which features its evolutions Monferno and Infernape.

But if you really don’t like flaming monkeys, maybe the Poke Ball icon will interest you? No, me neither. I suppose that particular item card is quintessential in every deck, so perhaps it deserves a spot as someone’s avatar. I just think it’s a tad boring. For now, I’ll stick with my knitted Electrode until something more exciting comes along.

It’s monkey business in Pokemon TCG Pocket

As for the missions, they’re fairly straightforward. Complete six Wonder Picks, collect 10 Fire and Psychic-Types, and you’re done. One Wonder Pick nets you 100 Trade Tokens, while completing the remaining missions earns you varying amounts of Event Shop Ticket. So, you could get those squared away fairly quickly if you’re determined and armed to the teeth with Wonder Hourglass.

Fear not if you’re late to the party and haven’t realised that a new Wonder Pick event is underway. All the goodies from the first part are still available until February 21st. They include a Chimchar backdrop and cover alongside a Cave of Crystals backdrop. Of course, there are also the promo cards. One is, shock horror, a Chimchar, while the other is a painfully cute Togepi.
