Apart from revealing her favourites, Sharon is also a dab hand at DIY in the world of skincare.

The much loved music star makes her own toner and body scrub, both of which she credits for keeping her skin smooth and hydrated.
The main functions of toner include removing excess oil, make-up and dirt from the skin, deep cleaning and closing pores, restoring the skin’s natural pH balance and preparing the skin to better absorb moisturiser.
Explaining how she makes it, Sharon tells RSVP: “I boil water in the kettle and cool it so it is distilled. I add 1-2 drops of tea tree oil into a cosmetic container and put it in the fridge.”
Sharon’s homemade body scrub also contains skin-loving ingredients. The purpose of body scrub, if you didn’t know, is to get rid of dead skin cells, enhance hydration, prevent ingrown hairs and make hair removal easier and to rejuvenate skin, amongst other functions.
Sharon says her scrub is highly nourishing, telling us: “To make it, I melt organic coconut oil., before adding in ground rock sea salt and then some essential oils like lemon and orange. Sometimes I’ll grate the rind of a lime into the mixture.
“It is absolutely beautiful. This works as a natural exfoliator and once I shower it off, the coconut oil is still hydrating my skin beautifully.”
When it comes to products, Sharon is a big fan of Boots’ No7 Future Renew Range.
“My creams are very important to me. I’ve been using the range for over a year now and I can already see an improvement in the texture and tone of my skin. As a 54-year-old mum living in Spain, it’s not easy to keep that radiance going, believe me!”
Sharon views applying skincare and make-up as a form of selfcare.
She adds: “If you get up in the morning feeling a bit stressed, a good skincare routine, a little it of make-up and a nice outfit can nearly always make you feel better. It’s like putting on your armour, only it’s good armour.”
