Commercial vehicle tyres

Tyres & Accessories looks to the commercial vehicle tyre segment in March. The major suppliers to fleets increasingly support the logistics industry’s sustainability goals with a holistic approach to tyres. Fleet management software, enabled by sensors and increasingly sophisticated approaches to digitalisation are integrated into full-service packages. The tyres themselves are increasingly tuned to offer a mix of performance characteristics tailored for the different applications, while also ensuring maximum longevity through initial tread life and a carcass that can be regrooved and retreaded. Meanwhile, the European retreading sector is continuing to receive support from the European Union in the form of a refreshed set of tariffs on products manufactured in China; though China’s largest players have largely off-shored production of CV tyres destined for Europe.
