My house I wake up in every morning. My house that I return to each evening. It sits on the ground so simply yet its many layers are an unmatched force that hold it together. There are the long thick beams and the solid foundation. The flooring and the insulation are secret weapons and the electrical elements cannot be forgotten. All of these layers were constructed in a meticulous journey to build the home I so passively exist in. Gucci women’s fall winter 2024 collection explored the layers of fabrics and folds that make an outfit, like a house, appear so effortless despite creating an intentional space to exist in. 

The ready to wear line designed by Sabato De Sarno premiered on February 23rd. The star of the show was a main coat with hidden buttoning and a covered placket. A series of knitwear pieces with off-tone sequins and crystal fringe lined the runway too. Many new accessories were showcased including a new top handle bag showcase with a perforated logo and a half moon silhouette inspired by equestrian motifs. To further develop the equestrian theme, a pair of horse riding boots was showcased. Bamboo took the stage in a bamboo bucket bag and a clutch with a gold toned metal bar that replicates bamboo. 

The show’s music was directed by grammy award winner Mark Ronson. Song performances included “Coronacid” performed by Did Virgo and Morgan K (Mark Ronson Rework), “I’m Not in Love” performed by Kelsey L and “Two Men in Love” performed by The Irrepressibles.
