Take-Two’s financial report for Q4 and fiscal year 2024 officially confirms that Rockstar Games will release Grand Theft Auto 6 in fall 2025 (October 2025 to December 2025). “As we enter Fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to deliver Net Bookings of $5.55 to $5.65 billion. Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI,” commented Take-Two CEO and Chairman Strauss Zelnick. The report also states that the company is “highly confident” in the quality of the game, which is natural for a Rockstar title.

The Official Release Window Eases Fears About a Possible Delay

While fall 2025 may be a bit of a far cry from the speculated spring 2025 release window, the confirmation is still a significant development, as it alleviates previous rumors about GTA 6 potentially being delayed into 2026. However, things can change at a moment’s notice in game development, especially for a monumental title like Grand Theft Auto 6, so while the chances of it slipping into 2026 are slim, they’re not zero.
