A YOUTUBER who is an urban explorer recorded his findings after he went into an abandoned mansion.

It was once owned by a multi-millionaire surgeon who wanted the luxury mansion of his dreams for himself and his family.

However, tragedy struck and the home has stood abandoned for almost a decade with its contents perfectly preserved.

Filmmaker and photographer Jeremy (@JeremyXplores) explored the $10.5 million mansion in 2022 and shared his findings on YouTube.

Among the luxury items inside the house including a $12,000 designer shoe collection, Jeremy was stunned by the contents of the garage.

As he entered the garage, the YouTuber asked for a drumroll hoping to find a Lamborghini.

However, rather than a supercar, he was met with two other luxury cars worth $100,000 that had been left to collect dust and rot.

“We got a Volkswagen Beetle.. [and] we do have a Mercedes,” Jeremy said.

“This beetle looks like it’s in an immaculate condition.

“Look at this guys super clean, probably really low miles on this thing.”

Due to how long the vehicle has been disused, the tires are completely flat and were dry-rotted.

“Their parking tag expired in ’06,” Jeremy noted.

This was the year that Robert had started construction on the house.

“We got a Mercedes, a convertible Mercedes Benz over here,” Jeremy excitedly told viewers.

“Mercedes-Benz CLK 430. Yeah man this is nice and it’s so clean still.

“There’s hardly any dust on it. Tires are pretty flat but man, it’s got like a fresh coat of wax on it.

“Tires look brand new. I think they just got this car and then hardly ever drove it.”

“I’m blown away right now,” Jeremy added.

“Gotta say, that was my first ever time seeing a new Mercedez-Benz abandoned in a garage.”

The story behind the time-capsule home is one of tragedy as the deaths of Robert and one of his four children left the family in tatters.

While the three-story home (excluding the basement) was still under construction, the family moved in.

With its 11 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, visitors quarter, indoor pool, four-car garage, outdoor sports complex, library, and elevator, there was enough room for them and the workers.

However, in 2016, the local surgeon and his 15-year-old son were killed in a plane crash when Robert lost control and crashed it into rocky terrain.

The YouTuber described how the death and the cancellation of Robert’s multimillion-dollar life insurance policy due to failed payments, left the rest of the family in debt and ruins.

“All financial support for his family had been stripped and $8 million was still owed on the mansion not to mention the mortgage was a staggering $50,000 per month,” Jeremy explained.

The bank seized the property just three months after the deaths and the home has been abandoned ever since with many of the family’s belongings still inside.

Jeremy told viewers that as his exploration of the mansion continued his feeling of excitement “shifted into a feeling of sadness and reverence.”

“This video is a good reminder that it doesn’t matter how much money you have, how many clothes you have in your closet, how big your house is…” one viewer commented.

“What it must have been like for this family to have had to move out within 3 months of losing father and son,” another wondered.

“The inability to take so much with them. Was it because the bank wouldn’t let them, or the inability to take so much not knowing where they would go?”

“Beautiful home. Just makes one realize how quickly things can change and material things end up not being what matters most,” a third added.
