German carmaker Volkswagen is recalling more than 60,000 electric cars in the United States, affecting both Volkswagen and Audi models.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Friday the recalled vehicles fail to display some gear positions, which could lead to the cars rolling away if the parking brake is not engaged, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall impacts Audi Q4 e-tron and Volkswagen ID.4 — both fully electric models.

The problem with the gear indicator stems from a software issue, according to Volkswagen’s safety recall report.

The carmaker became aware of the issue in August, after five cases outside the US.

Earlier this month, Volkswagen issued another recall, that one affecting some 30,000 vehicles in the US because the rearview camera didn’t display properly.

The recall mostly impacted Audi Q3, and some Volkswagen Tiguan and Arteon cars.
