Recently, Rolls-Royce made headlines again with its most expensive car ever — the Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail. This ultra-luxurious car is estimated to be worth around Rs. 250 crore (about USD 30 million USD), making it one of the costliest cars ever built.

But what’s more interesting is that the owner’s name has not been officially revealed. The car was handed over during a private event in Pebble Beach, California, and since then, it has caught global attention for its design, exclusivity, and mystery surrounding the buyer.

The Droptail is not just about looks — it’s powerful too. The car can go from 0 to 97 km/h (0 to 60 mph) in just 4.8 seconds. It can also reach a top speed of 200 km/h, which is impressive for a vehicle that’s more of a moving piece of art than a race car.

Only four units of the La Rose Noire Droptail will be made, and each will be completely custom-designed based on the owner’s preferences — from wood inlays to the shade of paint.

The car’s design draws inspiration from the Black Baccara rose, a velvet-like flower bred in France, with shimmering paintwork on the outside and bespoke wooden inlay on the inside. The Droptail features a two-seat interior, curved shawl panel, fascia, and doors, and an exterior coachwork finished in True Love with a dark finish named Hydroshade. 

Though we may never know for sure who owns this masterpiece, rumors suggest that it could belong to one of the world’s richest families. Until it’s confirmed, the mystery adds even more charm to this one-of-a-kind creation.
