Many people often miss deliveries, not because they are out, but they’re in and don’t hear the door being knocked.
This can be frustrating – but now there is a simple solution – and it costs less than the cost of a takeaway. On Amazon, the SECRUI Wireless Doorbell usually costs £19.99 but has been slashed in price to just £11.89.
The stick-on gadget has been praised by renters and those who have missed people on their doorstep. To install, all you need to do is plug the receiver into a power outlet and attach the transmitter to the exterior wall with the provided screws or adhesive patch.
The waterproof doorbell which boasts being having an “ultra-long distance wireless range” offers a remote connection of up to 300 M/1000 foot and does not interfere with other equipment in your home. The doorbell also has 58 tunes and five adjustable volume levels ranging from 0 to 120 dB – and in the event of a power outage, there is no need to worry as it will remember your settings.
Its seven colour LED light indicator on the plug and the receiver flashes when the transmitter is pressed and a signal is received. Amazon adds: “They alert those with impaired hearing or when the doorbell sound is (temporarily) unwanted. Mute the wireless waterproof doorbell if a ringtone is not desired and get notified visually by the LED instead when someone shows up at the door.”
In even better news, the “ultra-low power consumption and CR2032 lithium battery gives a lifespan of up to three years” so you don’t need to worry about frequent battery replacement. Currently it has almost 10,000 ratings on Amazon, 6,975 of which are five stars, reports Manchester Evening News.
Tech deal of the week
Samsung has just announced the release of their latest next-generation televisions and are celebrating this launch by handing out smartphones for free.
If you are looking to upgrade your entertainment system then this Samsung deal could be right up your alley. Those who are pre-ordering the new 2024 Samsung televisions could be treated to a new Galaxy S24 or Galaxy S24+ – worth up to £999 – completely for free.
Samsung are also promising that their newest TVs are now much smarter and technologically advanced than their previous models. This is thanks to a fast processor that is included within and a brand new AI feature. Combining these two not only means you can launch apps and whizz through menus at lightspeed but a lot more features are vastly improved.

Boasting an average of 4.6 stars, one happy customer said: “My doorbell makes an awful noise and has kind of stopped working. But as I rent, I didn’t want something complicated that needed wiring or drilling. I was missing 75% of my deliveries because people were ringing the doorbell but it didn’t do anything. The installation was ridiculously easy and I have been receiving 100% of my deliveries since it’s been installed. Fixed a huge problem for me.”
Another echoed: “Bought this doorbell recently because an Amazon driver shouted at me because I didn’t hear him knock. After 26 years I obviously now need it, hopefully won’t miss another delivery.”
A third wrote: “Really easy to set up, install and nice and loud very happy with this doorbell.” As another added: “Looks good and feels as if it’s expensive. Great value for money and so far so good. Easy set up too.”
“It’s simple, stylish and an effective door bell. It does the job. Using the adhesive pad in the pack, we stuck the door bell on our brick wall and it stuck on well. Very pleased and it’s reasonably priced, so I am a very happy customer” said a third.
Not everyone was keen with one adding: “Even turned up to the highest setting the bell isn’t loud. Probably fine for a small bungalow but not great for a house. Looks nice and easy to install.”
