Trichy: Electronic gadgets belonging to the corporation elementary school situated in Karumandapam in Trichy city, were burgled by unidentified people on Friday.
According to a complaint filed by D Mallika, headmistress of the school, the unidentified burglars had forcibly gained entry into the school premises and decamped with two laptops, a printer, and a smart board, all of which were the property of the school.
Police said that Mallika had locked the school before leaving around noon on Aug 14. Upon her return to the school on Aug 16, following the holiday on Aug 15, she found that the main door of the school building had been forcibly opened. Further inspection revealed that the gadgets had been stolen. Police registered a case of burglary and commenced an investigation.
