BHUBANESWAR: Though the Ratna Bhandar supervisory committee recently refuted claims of any tunnels or secret chambers inside the treasury’s inner chamber, they on Monday decided to propose to the govt to conduct an inspection to rule out any apprehensions.
“Since there have been talks about some hidden treasure and secret chambers inside Ratna Bhandar, we have decided to propose to the govt to engage experts, who can use advanced technology and non-destructive equipment to ascertain the claims,” a member of the committee said.
When the committee members shifted all valuables from the inner chamber to a temporary strongroom on July 18, they did not come across any secret tunnels or chambers and described such discussions as mere gossip.
