Reliance Jio has launched its latest asset tracker, JioTag Air, in India. Priced at an introductory rate of Rs 1,499, this new device offers a cost-effective alternative to Apple’s AirTag, which retails for Rs 2,889. The compact JioTag Air is designed to help users keep track of their valuables such as keys, wallets, luggage, and even pets. By attaching the JioTag Air to these items, users can easily monitor their locations and prevent them from getting lost.

JioTag Air Key Features and Compatibility

One of the standout features of the JioTag Air is its compatibility with both the Apple Find My network and the JioThings app. However, users can only pair the device with one app at a time. Apple users can integrate the JioTag Air with the Apple Find My app available on iPhones, iPads, and Macs. For non-Apple users, the JioThings app is accessible on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

The JioTag Air also allows Apple users to share the location of tagged items with other Apple users through the Apple Find My app. The device emits a loud sound, ranging from 90 to 120 dB, to help locate nearby items quickly. Additionally, the device provides disconnection alerts to notify users if a tagged item goes out of range. For items that are farther away, the Apple Find My network can assist in locating them using millions of Apple devices worldwide. Users can also activate Lost Mode to receive notifications when the item is detected within the network.

Reliance Jio provides an extra battery and a lanyard cable with the JioTag Air, ensuring up to two years of usage without needing a replacement. The device is available in three colors: Gray, Blue, and Red.
