Kaley Cuoco once again showcased her love for animals by donating her time to a pet adoption project.
The Big Bang Theory vet, 38 — whose rescue dog King recently passed away — partnered with The Dodo for its Dodo Dream Date series, aiming to assist a disabled 9-year-old pooch named Peaches in finding her forever home.
After Kaley kicked off the date with a bouquet of toy roses for Peaches, the pair took a spin in a golf cart around the star’s expansive Southern California ranch in a video uploaded on Saturday.
‘I brought you to my ranch today for our Dream Date and I was so excited to have you here,’ Kaley sweetly whispered to the dog during the tour.
She quipped, ‘My ranch has turned into a full rescue property.’
Before the date started, an off-camera voice informed Cuoco that the pit bull terrier had been ‘single’ for two years.
According to the Dodo video, her original family abandoned her after a car accident, and she now has to wear diapers but can otherwise engage in typical dog activities.
‘Let me tell you something, anyone that can walk around in a diaper like that is a queen in my book,’ Kaley told Peaches.
She added: ‘If you don’t get a home I’m gonna be really pissed’.
Kaley’s rescue efforts come a month after she revealed her beloved rescue dog King died – 18 months after he was adopted by the actress and partner Tom Pelphrey.
The couple rescued him from a shelter in Atlanta while Cuoco was pregnant with their daughter Matilda and Pelphrey was shooting in the city.
Cuoco wrote: ‘There are no words to describe our dearest little Kingy. He was the first dog @tommypelphrey and I rescued together and honestly the most special.’
‘I saw him online shaking in a shelter in Atlanta while I was away in Germany, and asked the shelter to hold him because we just had to have him.
‘A month later we were in Atlanta for Tom’s work, and we spent an entire day driving hours to go pick up King. It was ♥️ !”
She revealed his nicknames were Kingggggggyyyy, Kingsley and Kingdom and shared his adoption story, writing: ‘Tom and I found King while Tom was working on a show in Atlanta. I was pregnant and wanted to rescue a dog who truly needed rehab. It was love at first sight!’
Kaley said his personality was ‘hilarious, quirky and stubborn and his favorite activities included ‘Lounging next to daddy while he reads, enjoying peanut butter treats and getting belly rubs.’
‘King insists on being carried to his bed every night, embracing his royal treatment,’ she wrote, adding: ‘He doesn’t walk, he prefers to be carried.’
And finally, King had the superpower of: ‘Spreading lots of laughs & love.’
