Katie Price has been branded ‘cruel’ and ‘heartless’ by fans after revealing she needs to re-evaluate keeping her 17 pets as she travels between England and Dubai with husband Lee Andrews

Katie Price has been slammed as “cruel” and “heartless” by fans after she appeared to suggest she might abandon her 17 pets. The celebrity has been shuttling between England and Dubai since wedding Lee Andrews in January, and revealed how the travel was impacting her animals.
In a YouTube vlog, Katie said she needed to “sort out” her pets: “I’ve got to sort out what I’m going to do with the animals because obviously Lee’s in Dubai and I’m going to keep going to Dubai and back.
“I’ve got 12 animals in the house. I know I like things excessive like big cars, big boobs, big bum, lots of animals, horses, this, that. I think I need to re-evaluate my life a little bit and just have a little think about everything.”
She then appeared to consider whether she should dispose of some of her pets, saying: “Because, yeah do I need so many animals? You know you gotta be there, all the time for them. Do I need….anyway everything I do is excessive, we all know that.
“You know that, I know that. So, I am gonna have to re-evaluate things in my life.”
Katie began to discuss how she resides in England while her husband lives in Dubai before suddenly recalling that as well as 12 animals, she has another five on top of that. “I’ve got 17 animals, oh my God,” she said, reports the Mirror.
Fans voiced their worry and disapproval in the comments of the video. One wrote: “Please help her animals.” Meanwhile others accused her of being neglectful or a “disgrace”.
“You shouldn’t be allowed to have pets you have a record of neglect and cruelty,” a fan commented. Another added: “The way you casually say you don’t need so many animals .. you’re a disgrace who just thinks about yourself.”
One fan expressed their disgust at her words: “How can you even think of getting rid of your animals. That’s disgusting! They’re not disposable.” Another chimed in: “Totally heartless and cruel.”
Katie has had a troubled past with her pets, as over the years, there have been a series of tragic incidents. In 2017, one of her horses was killed on the A24 after it escaped from its field. A few months later, her dog Queenie was hit by a car near her home after the gate was left open, which Katie blamed on a delivery driver.
Another dog died in 2020 after being struck by a car. After she shared the news, her fans implored her to take better care of her pets. The star faced criticism again in 2022 when a third dog was hit by a car and she was lambasted by PETA in 2023 when it happened yet again.
PETA claimed she had “blood on her hands” following the deaths of multiple pets. Fans have previously organised a petition to prevent Katie from owning pets, which garnered 37,000 signatures.
