Animaltastic Pets Henlow published a Facebook post on Friday (March 21), appealing for help after the bird was said to be stolen from the shop.

Bedfordshire Police confirmed they were called just before 10:20am on Friday (March 21), to a report of a bird being taken from a pet shop in Hitchin Road, Henlow.
A spokesperson added: “The bird was returned to the shop the following day. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
“Anyone with information can report to us online quoting reference 111 of 21 March at https://www.beds.police.uk/ro/report/ocr/af/how-to-report-a-crime/.”
The pet shop has also confirmed that the bird was returned and extended its gratitude to everyone who helped.

“We are astounded at the support from the community and we cannot thank you enough. Without you this would not have been possible! Every single tag, comment, share, phone call and message has been absolutely crucial to this outcome.”
