August 26 was National Dog Day, which is a time to not only celebrate our four-legged friends but to think about those who still need homes and are up for adoption. Whether you spent the day honoring yours or adopting a pup or two, many of your favorite soap stars paid homage to their furbabies on social media.

Lazy Day

The Young and the Restless’ Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) posted a shot of her sleepy boy Rufus as he laid outside in the sun.

‘Nuff Said

Then there was General Hospital’s Carolyn Hennesy (Diane), who gave the world a peek at her sweet Bela.

In fact, in a previous post, she deemed her newly adopted pup the “cutest dog in the history of dogs.”

Where Would We Be?

Another Young & Restless star, Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren) shared a video featuring various pups and stated, “Happy International Dog Day! Where would we be without our fur babies.”

Daddy’s Boy

Then there was General Hospital’s Adam Huss (Nikolas), who posted a pic holding his boy Sawyer. Even though “this boy requires a lot of attention” he “gives the same amount right back.”

Never-Ending Love

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Romy Park (Poppy) posted photos of her loves, past and present, and shared, “I’m not holding onto loss. I’m holding onto love. Posting both my sons in honor of National Dog Day. To my boys: I love you and miss you all the time. When my journey is finished here, I will come home to you.”

A Double Dose of Love

General Hospital’s Finola Hughes (Anna) gave a shoutout to her pals, Lily and Johnnie.

Foster Baby

General Hospital’s Rena Sofer (Lois) has a new foster pup who is looking for a furever home. Meet Mika!

Birthday Vibes

Prior to the holiday, Young & Restless’ Mark Grossman (Adam) celebrated his dog Oakley’s second birthday with a slew of pics and shared, “Two trips around the sun for Oakley boy.”

Family Love

And Young & Restless’ Lauralee Bell (Christine) posted an Instagram story featuring her two dogs, who, while missing their sister Chelsea, who passed away in August, are doing well. Here’s a pic from July where the “pack” was all together.

There were other stars who posted about their pups via their Instagram stories as well, including Days of Our Lives’ Martha Madison (Belle), who shared some cute pics of her pup Winston carrying around his dad’s shoes, while Julie Dove (Connie) posted one of her little white dog wearing a colorful collar. And General Hospital’s Laura Wright (Carly) had one of Kimba relaxing in bed.

So, cheers to all of the sweet pups out there, and if you’re looking to adopt one of your own, visit The Humane Society to get started on your search.
