Now, getting into what it was actually like receiving human-grade dog food from The Pets Table, I’d say there’s a lot to love. After defrosting the food for somewhere between 12 and 24 hours, as recommended by the brand, I placed some on top of my dog’s usual food. (To allow them to adjust, it should be mixed for the first seven days, as shown on the feeding guide in the second photo above.) We’ve already talked about how picky he is, so imagine just how surprised I was to find the food *gone* by the time I sealed it back up in the refrigerator and washed my hands. Since that first time, any time he sees me reach for the food, he comes running over to his bowl to wait for it—a huge change from his previous eating habits. So, honestly, for this alone, I think this food is more than worth it.

Besides the taste that my pup apparently loves, The Pets Table’s offerings are also formulated with high-quality ingredients like chicken, turkey, beef, chickpeas, carrots, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and more, plus a mix of vitamins and minerals like vitamin E, vitamin D, omega-3, vitamin A and zinc. This definitely adds to the food’s value for me, too, because I know he’s getting a well-rounded meal and shouldn’t need any other vitamins or supplements along with it.

And finally, I love the option to use it as a meal topper mixed with his usual kibble (the method I’ve continued with) because it allows me to get a little more bang for my buck out of the subscription. I’ve noticed that with it mixed in, he eats more of the kibble than he used to, likely since it has some better flavoring on top—so it’s a win for us both.
