DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) – Three pets were found dead in the aftermath of a house fire Saturday, according to the Danville Fire Department.
Crews responding to a home on Astor Court found smoke coming from the front of the house and the ridgeline.
No people were inside the home, according to the fire department, but the remains of the pets were found.
Fire crews contained the fire to its room of origin, but smoke damage affected the entire home, according to the department.
Captain Tom Collins said. “Our thoughts are with the family affected by this unfortunate incident, including the loss of their pets.”
No information about a cause has been released.
