Imagine a dog squeezing through a tiny cat flap! That’s the comedic scene captured in the winning photo of the 2024 Comedy Pet Photo Awards. This year, the top honor went to Sarah Haskell for her delightful image titled “Not just for the cats!”

Haskell’s photo triumphed over a range of hilarious contenders, from seemingly headless horses to a dog that looks like it’s dancing and cats defying gravity. As reported by the BBC, expressing her joy, Ms Haskell said, “I am delighted that Hector and I have been part of it, and am tremendously proud to be a winner.”

Overall winner: Not just for cats — Hector decided to give the cat flap a try.

People’s choice winner: Tarzan.

Cat category winner: Cat in a trap.

Horse category winner:I think I saw a mouse

The award show is in its fifth year. This annual competition celebrates the laughter and joy that pets bring into our lives.
