On Sunday (June 9), coach Juan Carlos Ferrero sat inside the Philippe-Chatrier to watch the Roland Garros final between his current and former pupils. Carlos Alcaraz , who is currently under the tutelage of Ferrero, took on Alexander Zverev and beat him in five sets 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2.
Ferrero started his coaching career by working with Zverev in 2017, but about eight months later, they parted ways because of differences between them. Then in 2019, the Spanish coach started coaching a 16-year-old Alcaraz and their partnership has become a success. Last year in an interview, the former World No.1 explained the difference between working with Sascha and Alcaraz.
