Spooked by the Air India plane last month that crashed seconds after departing from the Ahmedabad airport, private jet owners who have aircraft registered at the facility are doubling down on safety precautions.
Nearly all privately-registered planes are undergoing a special one-time audit or are seeing their routine audits being advanced, people familiar with the matter said. The checks are the latest sign of the intense sectorwide scrutiny in India after its worst aviation disaster in decades.
