T-Pain has built his brand on honesty, whether that be discussing the current music landscape or his experiences with other artists in the past. The 40-year-old singer recently broke down why he refuses to fly in private jets.
“To take a private jet from Atlanta, to Vegas and then back to Atlanta is $126,000,” he said in an Instagram video. “And y’all are asking me… do you understand what I’m saying?” He asked with a laugh. “Are you okay now? Do you feel like it? ‘No private jet?’ What, you’re not taking a private jet? You’re not spending all this money to go make money?’ Why would you do that? In what world is that smart? Then y’all will be like, ‘He’s going broke again.’
In his caption, he shared a sentiment that frequent flyers would agree with. “If it don’t make dollars it don’t make sense!!! Pass me the Biscoff cookies,” he wrote with a laughing emoji. The “Buy You A Drank” artist wasn’t alone in this sentiment, as a few celebrities and fans in the comments agreed with him.
“Asking that question when you’re not even close to being able to do it for yourself is wild to me,” author R. H. Sin wrote. “Like how you expect more from everyone else than you do for yourself. Pocket watchers don’t even have pockets.” WWE superstar Omos echoed the sentiment, dropping three clapping emojis.
Big Sean kept it short and sweet, writing “Bruhhhh” and “Facts” in two separate comments. Comedian Affion Crockett showed he was a fellow member of the Biscoff cookies hive, writing “Heavy on the Biscoff joints!” Needless to say, there is a crew of celebrities who agree that just because they have the money to spend on a private flight or other luxuries, doesn’t mean they have to do so.
Outside of providing basic financial advice and gaming, T-Pain is still dropping music. In January, he released “Believe In Ya” featuring Yaeji and Girl Talk. In 2024, he shared “Does She Know?” and also appeared on Earthgang’s “Love You More” and Glorilla’s “I Luv Her.” Listen to “I Luv Her” below.
