Taylor Swift has reportedly sold one of her private jets, a Dassault Falcon 900 that she’s owned since 2009. The jet, which can carry up to 12 passengers, was listed at $44million when new and is now registered to a business in Missouri.

The ‘Love Story’ singer still owns a Dassault 7X, which can hold up to 16 passengers and is designed for longer flights. Fans reckon Taylor will use this jet to fly to Tokyo for her concerts, then zip back to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Super Bowl game with the Kansas City Chiefs against the 49ers in Las Vegas.

Taylor Swift has faced criticism for her use of private jets, especially after topping the list of celebrities with the highest private jet carbon emissions in 2022. In 2023, it was reported that her private jets clocked over 166 hours in flight during the initial dates of her Eras Tour.

A representative for Taylor Swift told Business Insider that she purchases carbon credits to offset her jet usage. She has tried to keep details about her flights private using the FAA’s privacy ICAO aircraft address programme, also known as PIA.

However, Jack Sweeney, a university student who tracks celebrity flights using public information, has shared data about her trips on social media. This has led to Taylor threatening legal action against him, with her lawyers sending him a letter asking him to stop, accusing him of “stalking and harassing behaviour.”

Jack told Business Insider: “I think the people are interested. You should have a decent expectation that your jet will be tracked whether or not I do it as, after all, it is public information.”
