At a speed of Mach 0.90, the G800 can travel 7,000 nautical miles. It is suited to ultra-long-range flights at high speed, saving time for its passengers. Cabin and comfort
The G800 has the lowest cabin altitude of any business jet, at just under 3,000 feet while flying at 41,000 feet. A plasma-ionization clean air system provides 100% fresh air in the cabin every two to three minutes. The cabin is ‘whisper quiet’ and has high-definition circadian lighting. It has 16 signature panoramic windows that allow lots of natural light, making for a more comfortable long-range flight.

Four living areas are designed for work, sleep, or dining, and it can seat up to 19 passengers and sleep ten. The seats are ergonomically designed for comfort and can be made into lie-flat beds. There are two lavatories on the aircraft and a large galley for food preparation. A crew compartment can also be fitted to allow for crew rest.
The cockpit features
The G800 is fitted with advanced avionics and uses the Gulfstream Symmetry suite. It has active control sidesticks, the first of its kind, to increase nonverbal communication between the pilots using tactile cues. This improves safety and makes the pilot’s workload more efficient. Ten touchscreen displays accompany this, working in sync with Phase-of-Flight intelligence and reducing the number of switches in the cockpit.
