Engaged couples are being invited to say “I do” to inspiration as Dorset Museum & Art Gallery throws open its doors for a wedding fair set beneath its iconic Roman mosaics and stained-glass windows. The free event promises a day packed with florals, frocks and festivities for brides and grooms-to-be on Sunday, April 27.
Running from 11am to 3pm, the wedding fair will bring together a carefully curated group of local wedding vendors offering services ranging from bridal wear and flowers to entertainment, catering and photography. Visitors will also enjoy interactive displays and performances aimed at helping couples visualise their perfect day.
The event is open to anyone planning a wedding, whether newly engaged or in the final stages of preparation. Attendees will have the chance to meet suppliers face-to-face and gather ideas in a unique setting steeped in history.

Dorset Museum & Art Gallery, located in the heart of Dorchester, is currently taking bookings for weddings and special events from 2027. The striking Victorian Hall, one of the museum’s standout spaces, features high decorative ceilings, a stained-glass rose window, balconies and original Roman mosaic flooring—offering a historic and atmospheric backdrop for ceremonies and receptions.
The museum’s events team will be on hand during the fair to discuss how the venue can be tailored to suit individual styles and needs.
