Gemma Atkinson has moved to share her and Gorka Marquez’s unlikely wedding song. The ITV Emmerdale and Channel 4 Hollyoaks star spoke out on Valentiene’s Day on February 14 as she and Gorka marked another milestone together.
The pair, who met on BBC Strictly Come Dancing and share son Thiago and daughter Mia, spoke out on Wednesday February 14. Gemma met Spanish pro dancer Gorka when she took part in the dance show back in 2017, and the two got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2021.
The 39-year-old took to her Instagram Story to share the surprising choice, Pink’s Leave Me Alone, with her 1.9 million followers. In the story post, she included a picture of the loved-up pair while a clip of the song played, and penned: “This would be ours @gorka_marquez Leave me alone (but always come back please because I love you).”

The lyrics read: “Go away, give me a chance to miss you, say goodbye, it’ll make me want to kiss you, I love you so much more when you’re not here.” Gemma and Gorka shared their engagement news three years ago – on February 14 itself.
She captioned the snap: “Valentine’s forever… Of course I said yes.” And Gorka wrote: “The best day with my forever Valentine’s. I asked and she said YES!!!!!!” Gorka, who is a professional dancer on the show, was partnered with singer Alexandra Burke, while Gemma was dancing with Aljaz Skorjanec.
And Gemma recently was forced to shut down rumours of a “rough patch” between the two of them. Speaking on Lorraine, on ITV, she explained: “He’s on the Spanish Strictly as a judge, he’s home during the week but then at the weekends I get my space so it works out.
“I get that people would find it strange that we are apart a lot but that’s how it’s always been since we met.”
